J. B. Worden, 75, is Buried Here John B. Worden, who had for months been sick with pneumonia, died Saturday at the home of his son Eugene, near Elmore, (Minnesota). He was a patient at the Kossuth, (Iowa) hospital more than three months, but was taken to his son's two weeks before he died.The body was brought to Algona, (Iowa) and funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church, the Rev. C. V. Hulse, Mr. Worden's pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Riverview beside the grave of Mrs. Worden, who died five years ago. Mr. Worden, who was born at Antioch, Ill, June 2, 1857, was in his 76th year. He grew up at Alden, Ill and on January 1, 1883, was married to Ada Irene Dutton, Three years later, in December, 1885, they came to Palo Alto County, (Iowa). In1900 they moved to Ledyard, (Iowa), where they farmed till 1913, when they came here, (Algona, Iowa) Ten children survive: Marion Worline, Yakima, Wash.: Eugene; Grace Mueller, Oxford; George, Dows, (Iowa) ; Alice Mallow, Penzance, Sask; Rachael White, Cedar Falls, (Iowa); Leon, Ledyard, (Iowa); Chester, Dows, (Iowa); Ruth Howell, Ionia, (Iowa); Lois Heffler, Granada, Minn. All except Mrs. Worline attended the funeral. Mr. Worden also left a sister, Mrs. Louis Dutton, Algona, (Iowa) and a brother, Edgar, at Detroit, (Michigan). He was a lifelong Methodist.
