Source 1: Asa Worden & Dorothy Bowers were natives of New York. They came to Indiana in 1845, settling at Scipio Twp., residing there for about two years, then moving to Union Mills, LaPorte County, Indiana.

Source 2: According to this source, Asa Worden was a son of Thomas Worden 1747 & Hannah Stark. However other sources claim Asa was a son of Sylvester Worden 1758 & spouse unknown, s/o Sylvester Worden 1732 & Rebecca Eccleston.
