Biography
James was born, (probably in Russell), St Lawrence County New York in 1861, the son of David Worden and Lucretia Hogeboom. The 1900 US Census indicated he and Jessie M Weldon had been married 9 years [1]
He died in Syracuse Onondaga New York on 11 Oct 1908.[2] "Many Friends Attended Funeral. Funeral services for James Worden, who died at St. Joseph’s hospital after an illness of several months were held on Tuesday at the home of Albert Mangus at Brewerton. Mr. Worden was born at Brewerton forty-seven years ago. and had lived most of his life in that vicinity. Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Mangus of Brewerton. Miss Anna Worden: by two sons, William and James Worden of this city; by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Worden of Brewerton, by three sisters, Mrs. Martha Mangus and Mrs. Anna Pierce of Brewerton and Mrs. Margaret Towsley of this city, and by two brothers John and Horace Worden of Brewerton. The funeral was largely attended and burial was made at Central Square." [3]
