Charles G Worden, 77, of Liberty MO died May 7, 2008 at Ashton Court Care and Rehabilitation Center in Liberty.

Charles was born February 28, 1931 in Orrick, to Jesse Grover and Dolly Maude (Coleman) Worden. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Ellen Beasley, California. He is survived by his nephew, Jesse Ousley and Jesse's wife Theresa of Holt.

After the death of his father, Charles moved from the farm to Liberty where he lived until his death. He was employed by William Jewell College for more than 40 years. Charles was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Liberty and Liberty Kiwanis.

Charles loved his home in Liberty, visiting with his many friends and fellow employees. He enjoyed dining out and walking around the Square in Liberty until prevented from doing so by ill health.

Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 12206 N. Stark Avenue, Kansas City, MO. There is no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
