Note: Evina is listed as Evana in Anna Edna's baptismal record. Evina also had twin boys who died at age 9 of TB. According to her death certificate, her birth date is August 5, 1868. Informant was Pearl A. Tipple, 131 East 65th St. Her father was Renselaer C. Worden, mother Minnie LaBonte, husband Charles Goodrich at the time of death.
A newspaper reported the following:
"Married in San Francisco, California, October 1st by Rev. F. M. McAllister, Daniel Sewell of Sonora, Tuclumne County, California to Miss Elvira Worden, of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, N.Y."
This is certainly not our Evina; however, I wonder if she and this Elvira knew each other and if Elvira was the reason Evina went to California around 1900.
Place: Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, NY
Note: Ref. T1210, Vol 34-1024, Dwelling 303, Family 354: Shown as head of household, widow, with children
Date: 21 MAY 1922
Place: Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, Dutchess County, NY
Note: in plot with William and Noella Worden Talmadge
Note: It is possible that soon after the 1900 census was taken, Evina either visited or went to live with her sister Noella Tallmadge in New Jersey. This suggests that she met Aaron Borden there, especially since her second child with Borden was born there in 1908. (The first child named Noella died in infancy.)
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Evina by comparing test results with other
carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
