Citing this Record

"United States Census, 1850," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MCB4-7N6 : 12 April 2016), Henry Worden in household of Josiah Little, New York City, ward 10, New York, New York, United States; citing family 1108, NARA microfilm publication M432 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.).

Source 2: William, Attributed to Samuel, Son of Daniel.

William was born in 1775. In 1800, William is found in the census at Mt. Pleasant, Westchester Co, NY, with wife Sarah and son Hiram b c1799, as well as a “census daughter” who apparently died in infancy. William died about 1816, and has not been found in the 1810 census. His known children after Hiram were Jonas A b 8 July1800, William Jr b c1802, Delilah b 3 September 1803, Henry b c1809, Edmund b c1810, and Sarah Ann b c1816.

William’s son Henry is first found as a head of household in 1850, with wife Susan, 38, and children Mary, 10, James, 9, and Emma, 7. Henry also has been reported as living in California in 1850, so he must have joined the Gold Rush.
