DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

G2G question : In John's profile he married Eleanor in 1786 and then Mary in 1807. Date of death in Eleanor’s profile is 1839. This means that when John married Mary Miller in 1807 his 1st wife, Eleanor Bulmigen, was living ? This could be incorrect since divorce was certainly not commonplace in that era

G2G answer : FamilySearch has a note on the profile for John-born-in-1856: "John Workman married to Mary Miller is not the same John Workman who was married to Eleanor Blumigen. The John married to Eleanor was born in about 1765, and the John married to Mary Miller was born about 1786. There is some question about who the parents were for each of these men, but merging these records has created many problems." This means Mary Miller is not the wife of Workman-297

In this profile there were 2 sources.

1. Family Search Tree with birth date 1778 : https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:1:MCFZ-Z5L

2. Find a Grave with birth date 1781 : https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/129864769/john-workman

In the profile John's birth date is 1765, a large difference compared to the sources. Also John's son Isaac, ID Workman-2491, was born in 1786 ie when John was 8 or 5 years old according to those 2 sources !!

G2G Answer A Family Search Tree is not a reliable source. If there is documentation to back up the tree then that documentation may be reliable. Find-a-Grave is reliable if it includes a photo of an actual original gravestone.

Workman-300 and Workman-297 do not represent the same person because: Different given names, birth and death dates, birth locations, and different fathers. Not the same person.
