Biography

Volga German
Konrad Worm is a Volga German.
Konrad Worm has German Roots.

Family #76 in the 1767 Grimm census.

Family #149 in the 1775 Grimm census.

Konrad Worms was born in 1742 in Laubach, Germany. According to the 1767 Grimm census, he was a Lutheran craftsman who arrived in the village as a single 25-year-old man. He must have married shortly after his arrival in Grimm, because his oldest child, daughter Margaretha, was born in 1768.

1767 Grimm Census [1]

Family # 76
Head of the Household Konrad Worms, age 25, Lutheran craftsman from Laubach

According to the 1775 Grimm census, his wife's name was Anna Maria. The couple had at least three documented children; two born before 1775 and one born in 1783.

1775 Grimm Census [2]

Family # 149
Head of the Household Konrad Worm, age 33
Wife Anna Maria Worm, age 34
Child #1 Nikolaus Worm, age 1 year 6 months
Child #2 Margaretha Worm, age 7

Konrad Worm does not appear in the 1798 census; he most likely passed away some time before that year. [3] At the time of the 1798 census, his daughter Margaretha was married to Ludwig Stihl. Living with the couple and their children was her younger brother Konrad, born 1783. This seems likely only if their parents were no longer living.
