She was tried and convicted on 7th May 1821 in Lancaster (Liverpool Boro) and sentenced to seven years Transportation. She traveled on the convict ship Mary Ann in 1822, and arrived at Hobart on 5th June 1822.
Elizabeth Worrall by the second Mary Ann has permission likewise to accompany her husband John Cunningham also under Sentence of Transportation.

On board the Mary Ann, in 1822, Mrs. Fry complained that " the prisoners from Lancaster Castle arrived, not merely handcuffed, but with heavy irons on their legs, which had occasioned considerable swelling, and in one instance, serious inflammation."
