Biography
William was born about 1833. He was the son of Jefferson Worsham and Rebecca Elkins.
William married Sarah Frances Cornelia Rodgers Worsham (1840 - 1929). These are their known children:

William was a farmer. During the Civil War he went to work in the salt mine in Saltville, Virginia, not far from Bristol, Tennessee where Sarah and the children lived.
About 1870, he moved his family from Bristol to Bluff, probably for the logging jobs. He was a blacksmith as well as a subsistence farmer.
William passed away in 1913 and is buried in the Bluff Cemetery, Hot Springs, Madison County, North Carolina[1]
