Biography

Alfred was born between May and September 1859 in Brighton, Sussex. He was the son of John William Worsley and Selina Jane (Stoner) Worsley.[1]

Alfred married Selina Jane Stoner in October 1858 in Brighton, Sussex. The couple had 3 children: William Slayd Worsley, Martha Mae Worsley and Pearl P L Worsley.

Alfred departed London, England; Plymouth, England on 1 July 1871.[2]

Alfred arrived in Quebec, Quebec on 30 July 1871.[3][2]

When Alfred was 20 he married Matilda Hughes Greenwood on 6 April 1880 in St Thomas, Elgin East, Ontario, Canada.[4][5]

In 1882 according to a city directory Alfred (age about 22) was living in Toledo, Ohio, USA.[2]

In 1886 according to a city directory Alfred (age about 26) was living in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.[2]

In 1886 according to a city directory Alfred (age about 26) was living in Covington, Kentucky, USA.[2]

In 1905 according to a city directory Alfred (age about 45) was living in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.[2]

In 1910 Alfred (age about 50) was living in Forrest City St Francis, Arkansas.[6]

In 1920 Alfred (age about 60) was living in St Francis County, Arkansas, USA.[8]

In the 1920 census Alfred (age 60) was living in Madison, St Francis, Arkansas, USA.[9]

In the 1930 census Alfred (age 70) was living in Madison, St Francis, Arkansas, USA. Descendants or Description: Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head of House: Head.[3]

Alfred died at the age of 73 on 7 December 1932 in Saint Francis, Arkansas.[10]
