Biography
George Worsley was born about 1564 son, probably the younger, of Richard Worsley and his wife Ursula St Barbe. His father died in 1565, [1] leaving his mother with two young sons, George, and his brother, John. The following year their mother married Sir Francis Walsingham [2] and the boys were left to be raised at Appuldurcombe.
On 6 September 1567 the little boys were playing near the gatehouse when an explosion occurred. Both were killed. [3][4]
