Charlotte Ludlow was born about 1818 at Dartford in Kent , daughter of John Ludlow and his wife, Rachel. She was baptised at Stone by Dartford on the 19th of October 1817. [1]
She married ropemaker, Thomas William Morgan, at St James, Bermondsey, on the 25th of February 1838. [2] Their first child, a son, Thomas William, was born on the 9th of December that year. [3] It must have been Thomas' trade that took them to St Petersburg in 1841 and it was there that Charlotte gave birth to their second son, John. [4]
