Francis was born in 1733 in Nantucket, Massachusetts. He is the son of Richard Worth and Lydia Swain. [1] The entry in the Vital Records reads "Francis, s. Richard and Lydia (Swain), 10th, 9 mo, 1733." This could actually be Nov 10, 1733. In older records as this, March was considered the "first month".
