Joseph Wolk Dies; Ex-Choirmaster, 85 Bridgeport Post - January 30, 1977

Trumbull - Joseph Wolk, 85, of 64 Alden Avenue, a retired machinist at the Bullard company and a former choirmaster at St. Mary’s Ukranian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport, died yesterday in his home. Services will take place Tuesday at 815 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 591 Arctic Street, Bridgeport, and at 9 o’clock in St. Mary’s Ukranian Orthodox church. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery, Stratford.

Born in the Russian Ukraine, Mr. Wolk resided in Trumbull for 15 years. Survivors are several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Joseph Wolk Bridgeport Post - November 19, 1971

Trumbull - Mrs. Emily Javorsky Wolk, 76, wife of Joseph Wolk, of 64 Alden Avenue, died this morning in St. Vincent’s hospital. Services will take place Saturday at 8:15 a.m in the Adzima Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock in St. Mary’s Ukranian Orthodox Church, Beach street, Bridgeport, with a Divine Liturgy. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery, Stratford.

Born in Austria, Mrs. Wolk had been a resident of this area 57 years. Survivors, in addition to her husband, are several nieces and nephews.
