When William Jordan Wray was born on September 21, 1860, in North Carolina, his father, James, was 24 and his mother, Frances, was 19. He married Josephine Ogle (Josie) on February 22, 1884, in USA. They had five children during their marriage. He died on October 17, 1954, in Kansas at the age of 94, and was buried in Winchester, Kansas.
