Greenwood, S.C., May 4 -
Funeral services for D. Bates Wrenn, 93, who died at his home in the Callison community yesterday, were donducted from Bethel Methodist chruch Wednesday at eleven o'clock by his pastor, the Rev. H. E. Griffin and the Rev. G. W. Gurley, former pastor of Bold Spring Baptist church.
Mr. Wrenn was an active mem- Edgefield county and one of the county's oldest citizens, having lived in the house in which he died 74 years. He had been in declining health for several months.
Mr. Wrenn was an active member of Bethel church for more than 50 years and several years ago was elected an honorary steward. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Mr. Wrenn was twice married. His first wife was Miss Sarah Catherine Miller and his second wife, Miss Nancy Caroline Miller, who died two years ago. He is survived by noe daughter, Mrs. P. W. Manley, Walhalla; three sons, Jesse B. and Edgar Wreen, Alexandria, Va., and Marvin Wrenn, Callison, and nine grandchildren."
