There is some question about his middle name. In some places it is spelled Addison

He was born March 7, 1847 in Greensboro, Guliford county, North Carolina. [1][2]

He died January 20, 1892 in Prospect, Craighead, Arkansas. Prospect no longer exists except as a memory. It has been absorbed by Jonesboro, Arkansas. [3]

He is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Jonesboro, Craighead, Arkansas. findagrave memorial number 5023588

October 11, 1850 he was living in North Division, Guilford, North Carolina in the household of James Wrenn. [4]

July 5, 1860 he was living in Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina in the household of James Wrenn. [5]

August 8, 1870 he was living in Center Grove Township, Guilford, North Carolina with his wife and family. [6]

He was a blacksmith in 1880 in Jonesboro, Craighead, Arkansas according to the 1880 census.[7][8] Peter and Laura Wrenn were among the first citizens of Jonesboro, and lived there until CA 1880. Around that time they moved abut three miles eat to the community of Prospect where Peter operated a blacksmith shop.

In February 22, 1862 he enlisted in the military in Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina. Muster roll of January and February 1865 shows him present, and rank of Private. Prison of War records show that he surrendered and was paroled April 9, 1865, at Appomattox C.H., Va.

His name appears on Roll of Honor of the Company, County, Guilford, Age 16. a substitute.[9]

The 1880 census enumerated June 8, 1880 shows he was living in Jonesboro, Craighead, Arkansas.[10]

The 1870 census enumerated August 8, 1870 living in Center Grove Township, Guilford, North Carolina.

Note on back by Paul Wharton. "Age for Peter Wren incorrect, but this WAS our Peter Wrenn, because the young man Michael Caffey was the bro. of JANE. (Peter's 1st wife)[11]

He married Livinia Jane Caffey December 27, 1865 in Guilford county, North Carolina.[12]

He married Laura Marcella Thurman November 30, 1871 in Fayette, Fayette, Tennessee.[13][14][15] See copy of marriage certificate in Photo Tab.

According to a letter from the War Department, The Adjutant General's Office, dated October 3, 1930:
The records show that Peter A. Wrenn, Co.C., 45th, North Carolina Infantry, C.S.A., enlisted February 22, 1862, at Greensboro.
Muster roll Jan. & Feb. 1865 shows him present, a Private. Prisoner of War records show that he was surrendered and paroled April 9, 1865, at Appomattox, C.H., Va., a Private.
His name appears on Roll of Honor of the Company. County, Guilford. Age 16. A substitute.
