Emma Wright (married name Trigg) was born in 1849 in Great Chishill, Essex, England[1]. She was the daughter of Jane (Bolding) Wright and Samuel Wright.
In 1851, young Emma and her family were living in Great Chishill, Hertfordshire.[2]
The ship, Neleus set sail from Southampton, England on 10 August 1854 with the WRIGHT family among the assisted immigrant passengers and arrived in Melbourne, Colony of Victoria on 23 October 1854[3][4]. The WRIGHT family from Essex consisted of parents, Samuel (age 31, Agr. Labourer) and Jane (28) and their children, George (8), Emma (5) and John (2). On arrival, Samuel went to work for Joseph HAYES of the Albion township for 6 months with rations.
Emma died on 10 January 1925 in Warrnambool, Victoria, aged 75 years.[6] Her remains were buried on 12 January 1925 in Warrnambool Cemetery[7].
