OBITUARY ELDER SAMUEL S.(sic) WRIGHT. Samuel S.(sic) Wright was born July 23, 1859, and died Feb. 21, 1914, aged 54 years, 6 months and 28 days. He was married to Sarah J. Elam Mch. 7, 1878, to which union were born 12 children, eight boys and four girls. Two boys, John and Emmett, preceded him to the world beyond. Those left to mourn their loss, with his companion, are Clara, Marion, Etta, Anderson, Everet, Lydia, Ramal, Murl, Forest and Edna; also seven grandchildren, one brother, one sister and a host of other relatives and friends. He was resigned to his Master's will, bidding farewell to all, and we feel that our loss is his gain. He was converted at the age of 17, and united with the Hurricane Primitive Baptist church. He was ordained to the ministry by the same church the third Saturday in August, 1885. The funeral was conducted by the writer who tried to speak words of comfort to the bereaved family in the presence of a large congregation of relatives and friends, after which the body was laid to rest in the Bethlehem cemetery to await the great resurrection. Brother Wright was a true Baptist and an able defender of the truth, having no fellowship with Unsound doctrine or practice. May God bless the bereaved family and reconcile them to his will. S. FLANIGAN.
