Eliza Ann or Ann Eliza Wright was born circa 1812 in either Loudoun County, Virginia or Frederick County, Maryland.
Eliza Wright was married to Wayne McKimmey, a much older man, in 1833.[1] Due to Frederick County, Maryland's use as a Gretna Green location for Loudoun County, Virginia, it is thought that they married there either to avoid a bastardy bond or to avoid an underage marriage penalty regarding the bride being under the age of 21.
The name and signature "Ann Eliza McKimmey" appears in several Loudoun County records in reference to the wife of Wayne McKimmey, the eldest child of Francis McKimmey and Elizabeth Jackson.
