Mary Wright ("Mercy" on her birth record), was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on October 7, 1711, the fifth child and second daughter of James Wright and Elizabeth Patten.

On October 21, 1731, she married, in Woburn, William Kittredge, of Billerica, Massachusetts. The couple settled in a part of Billerica which in 1734, became the town of Tewksbury. Their first child was born in Billerica, the rest were born in Tewksbury. Children:

Ruth, 2nd, born December 14, 1751; died April 8, 1752, aged 3 months.[23][24]
Mary (Wright) Kittredge died due to complications from childbirth ("childbed" on her death record) in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, on May 5, 1753, at the age of 42. She was buried in the Old Center Burying Grounds in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, where her gravestone reads:
