Attached below are two deeds by which 1873 (year of death) Jesse Wright of Amherst County, VA, (place of death) acquired land.
The first deed is D.B. O/662 dated December 21,1820, by which Jesse Wright acquired 23 acres of land from George and Lucy Campbell. George G. Wright and William Campbell were witnesses.
The second deed is D.B. O/663 also dated December 21, 1820, which you mentioned by which Jesse Wright acquired 54 acres of land from William and Frances Campbell. George G. Wright and George Campbell were witnesses.
The 1822 Land Tax List for Amherst County, VA, indicates these parcels were about 16 miles northwest of the county seat.

Excerpt from Sorting Some Of The Wrights Of Southern Virginia, Part VII: 1767 Francis Wright Of Amherst County:
On December 21, 1820, at Amherst County, Virginia, D.B. O/662 Jesse Wright purchased from George and Lucy Campbell 23 acres of land:
"This Indenture made this 21st day of December 1820 Between George Campbell and Lucy Campbell his wife of the county of Amherst and state of Virginia of the one part & Jesse Wright of the said county and State of the other part witnesseth that we George Campbell and Lucy Campbell of the first part of this Indenture for and in consideration of the sum of sixty nine dollars current money of Virginia to us in hand paid by the said Jesse Wright of the other part the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge in consequence of which we have this day bargained sold and released and by these presents do bargain sell alien and release and confirm unto him the said Jesse Wright all the right title interest and claim of what kind soever to which we or either of us may be entitled and do forever warrant and defend a good and Legal right and title to one certain Tract or parcel of Land containing twenty three acres more or less being part of a larger tract the balance of which now belongs to John Stinnet the tract from which the above mentioned tract of twenty three acres was taken from contained before the division one hundred and seventy nine acres the above mentioned Tract of Land bounded as follows on the east or south East by the Tract of Land which the above mentioned Jesse Wright of William Campbell and on the west or north west by John Stinnets land the tract from which It was taken to have and to hold the above mentioned Tract of Land containing twenty three acres and premises with all and singular the appurtenances immunities and priviledges thereunto in any wise belonging to the only proper use and behoof of him the sd Jesse Wright and his heirs and assigns forever and we do moreover for ourselves respectively our and each of our heirs Exos and administrators hereby covenant and agree with the said Jesse Wright a good and sufficient title to the above mentioned tract of Land and premises aforesaid in fee simple to warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons to all intents purposes whatsoever claiming by through or under us of us according to the Term intent and meaning of these presents in witness whereof we have hereto subscribed our names and affixed our seals this 21st december1820

"This Indenture made this 21st day of December 1820 between William Campbell and Frances Campbell his wife of the county of Amherst and state of Virginia of the one part and Jesse Wright of the said county and state of the other part Witnesseth that we William Campbell and Frances Campbell of the first part of this Indenture for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty eight dollars current money of Virginia to us in hand paid by the said Jesse Wright of the other part the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge in consequence of which we have this day bargained sold and released and by these presents do bargain sell alien and release and confirm unto him the said Jesse Wright all the right title interest & claim of what kind soever to which we or either of us may be entitled and do forever warrant and defend a good and legal right and title to one certain Tract or parcel of Land containing fifty four acres more or Less being part of a larger Tract the balance of which belongs to George Campbell the tract from which the above mentioned tract of fifty four acres was taken from contained before the division one hundred and fifty acres the above mentioned Tract of Land bearings and bounderies are as follows Beginning at Linwood Tree in a branch in the original line of the larger Tract and running with the brach as it meanders down to litle piney river seventy three poles thence up little one hundred and fourteen poles to a chesnut oak on the south side of the river thence S. 30 W 38 poles to a fallen down chesnut oak thence north 45 W 60 poles to a chesnut oak thence N 48 E poles to pointers thence N 11 E 18 poles to pointers thence N 63 E 4 poles to a white oak thence S 61 E 38 poles to a hickory thence N 36 E 24 poles to a mahogorany thence N 4 W 36 poles to a chesnut oak thence N 77 E 72 poles to a gum thence S 38 E 50 poles to the Linwood tree which was the beginning to have and to hold the above mentioned tract of Land containing fifty four acres and premises with all and singular the appurtenances immunities and priviledges thereunto in any wise belonging to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Jesse Wright and his heirs forever and like wise his assigns and we do moreover for ourselves respectively our and each of our heirs Exors & admr hereby covenant and agree to with the said Jesse Wright a good and sufficient title to the above mentioned Tract of Land and premises aforesaid in fee simple to warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons to all intents and purposes whatsoever claiming by through or under us or either of us according to the true intent and meaning of these presents in testimoney whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names and affixed our seals this 21st day of December 1820
