  • Ancestry: There was an Augustine Wright in Amherst County, Virginia, who died in 1776.He probably was a brother of Parmenos Wright and Achilles Wright, based on circumstantial evidence, such as proximity of land owned by each and testimony given by Parmenos and Achilles in a lawsuit over Augustine's will.Achilles Wright died in 1825 in Oldham County, Kentucky, adjacent to Henry County, Kentucky, and his son Nelson Wright died in 1831 in Henry County, Kentucky. The Jesse Wright, Sr., listed above may have been connected to this family, but I have not yet found documentation to confirm this.Robert, Henry, and George were given names that appear in these families.
