Chester-le-Street, 5 Apr 1864, aged 82, M.I. Tynemouth Priory), dau. of William Magnay (for this family, see Louis Tracy, Magnay Mallinder, 1885); he d. Littletown, Durham, 10 Dec 1847, aged 80 years (MI Tynemouth Priory), will pr. late of Bank House, Haydon, 24 Aug 1859, leaving issue.

Eldest son of John Wright, attorney, of Newcastle; born 1767; councillor 1798; married in 1806 Frances Magnay; lived at North Shields and in Saville Row, Newcastle; alderman and mayor 1823; municipal reformer.
He was many years deputy-lieutenant and acting magistrate for the county of Northumberland and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
