Bowes Cecil Wright, Sr, bapt. North Shields, 16 Feb 1816; one of the scholars at Free Grammar School indicted for assaulting a servant girl, Catherine Hall, Newcastle (House of Commons, 28 June 1831); m. Haydon Bridge, 14 Oct 1841 Margaret Lee (b. Alston, Cumberland, 1817; d. Haliburton, Ontario, 1888), who patented land 30 Aug 1861 at Stanhope, Algonquin Highlands, Ontario; retired farmer, residing St Andrew’s, Newcastle, with wife and 10 children, 1861 census; d. Hindon, Ontario, 19 Nov 1878, leaving issue.[1]

Baptised in 1816 in Tynemouth. Occupation: Farmer Jailed in 1860? Emigrated to Stanhope, Ontario, Canada (appears in 1871 census as a farmer)
