3 Jan 1885 George Christmas, Widowed son of John Christmas married Edith Wright Spinster daughter of John Wright at Peldon, St. Mary the Virgin, Essex, England. This was his second marriage at which time he was a hotel keeper. Son of John Christmas Labourer. [6][7]
Edith was George’s cousin, the daughter of his mothers brother.
In 1891 George Christmas (63 Farmer b West Mersea) and his wife Edith Christmas (35 b Peldon) lived in Rose Cottage Peldon. [8]
In 1901 George Christmas (73 Farmer b West Mersea) and his wife Edith Christmas (45 Dressmaker b Peldon) lived in Rose Cottage Peldon. Visiting was Emily Theobald (65 Widow b Peldon) Edith and Emily were sisters [9]
In 1911 George Christmas (83 Retired Farmer b West Mersea) and his wife Edith Christmas (56 b Peldon) lived in Rose Cottage Peldon. They had been married for 26 years. They had no children[10]
She died 18 July 1922 aged 66 whilst living in Rose Cottage Peldon.[11][12]
