Benjamin Wright, mariner, m. Great Yarmouth, 11 Jan 1713/4, Ephrata Jordan (bapt. [as ‘Effreta’], Great Yarmouth, 18 Nov 1683; bur. Great Yarmouth, 18 Oct 1779), dau. of Thomas and Mary Jordan; he was bur. Great Yarmouth, 4 May 1760 (?will pr. Consistory Court, Norwich), having had issue.
According to family information (unsourced), this Benjamin was the son of Simon Wright by Mary Worledge. However, the baptism of a Benjamin Wright is recorded in Great Yarmouth for 1 March 1694/5, son of Jos[eph] Wright by Eliz[abeth], which seems more likely.
The migration of Simon Wright from Wheatacre is not explained, and the birth date of Simon as Benjamin's father in 1651 seems too early.
