Mary (Wright) Satterthwaite Haines was born on August 19, 1738, the daughter of Joshua Wright and Thomasin Pancoast. [1]

Mary probably born in Burlington County, New Jersey.

Mary was married twice.

She first married David Scatterwaite, the son of William Satterwaite and Mary Osborn.[1]

Mary married second, Joseph Haines on 20 January 1763 at the Evesham Meeting House [Mount Laurel], under care of Evesham Monthly Meeting, [1][2]

Joseph and Mary had the following children:

  1. Anna Haines b 4 Nov 1763 m Cornell Stevenson, son of Cornell Stevenson[1]
  2. Elizabeth Haines b 14 March 1767 m Biddle Reeves, son of Biddle Reeves and Ann Clement.[3]
  3. Joshua Wright Haines b 13 August 1796 m Elizabeth Crispin[3]
  4. Joseph Haines b 8 September 1774, d 12 June 1775, aged 8 mos, 3 weeks[3]
  5. Stacy Haines b 9 September 1779 m 1) Ann Shinn 2) Hannah Hancock[3]

Mary passed away on 9 November 1803.[1]

Mary probably died in Burlington County, New Jersey.
