Allen Wright was born in Michigan in July 1857, a son of Clark Wright and Minerva Cohron(?) or Cohoon(?)
32-year-old farmer Allen J. Wright married Minnie Hunt, recorded as age 19, in Harrison, Michigan, on 10 August 1889. Both were residents of Harrison and it was the first marriage for both. Minnie was recorded as the daughter of Benjamin Hunt and Carlina Ryan. Allen was a son of Clark Wright and Minerva Cohron(?) or Cohoon(?). The marriage was officiated by a justice of the peace. 
The 1900 U.S. Census recorded Allen A. Write, age 42 and a farmer, and wife Minnie Write, age 30, in Hayes Township (Harrison city), Clare County, Michigan, with their daughter Rossetta Write, age 7. Allen was born in July 1857, Minnie in November 1869, and Rossetta in March 1893. Allen was born in Michigan to a father born in Vermont and a mother born in New York; both Minnie and Rossetta were born in Michigan to parents born in Michigan. Allen and Minnie had been married 12 years; Minnie had had one child, still living.
The marriage of Minnie Wright and Allen J. Wright (stated to have married in Harrison, Michigan, on 8 August 1888) ended in divorce on 22 April 1905. Minnie had filed an application for divorce on 26 February 1904, alleging extreme cruelty. There was one child in the family. The absolute divorce was granted in Hillsdale County, Michigan.
