Sarah Margaret (Wright) East was born on 11 Dec 1860 in Wayne County, Indiana, United States, daughter of Nancy Van Matre (1834 - 1926).^[1]

In 1870, Margaret was 8 years old, living with her family in Cass County, Michigan, right near her future husband, Rollie East and his family. Clearly, they met when they were young children. ^[2]

Sarah married Rollie Mark East (1862 - 1937) 13 years later, on 10 Oct 1883 in Calvin Center, Cass County, Michigan, United States.^[3] Their children were:

1. Bion Rose East (1885 - 1972)
2. Reta Zazel East (1889 - 1974).

Sarah died on 15 May 1933 in Detroit, Michigan aged 72 but her burial location is unknown. ^{[1] [4]}
