Note: Became a lawyer in Carlisle. In the 1851 Census he is a lodger at Cavendish Place, unmarried, solicitor with two partners. Born Oak Bank[Kirkandrews]. Later he had an office on Bank Street and lived at Eden Mount. He drew up Nathan Stead McAlpin's will in 1869.
