According to the 1887 The Genealogy and History of the Guild, Guile and Gile Family, James Wright was the son of Samuel Wright and Rebecca (Sykes) Wright.^[1] James was born on May 12, 1699 in Lebanon, Connecticut.^{[citation needed]}

Marriage and Children

James married Sarah Guild in Lebanon, Connecticut on April 23, 1734.^[2][1][3]

James Wright was a Lieutenant of the Colonial Militia, and deacon of the church.^[1]
