Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! Now it's time to pick a project that best fits the pre-1700 profiles you'll be working on.

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Look at the list of Active projects to see if one fits your needs. Once you find a project that interests you, visit their project page for more information and to find out how to join. Hi Edward! Now that you've had a bit of time to enjoy WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful:

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found on the Bio Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom, or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!

Hi, having researched my tree on other paid sites right back to the 1400s I'd like to join the community effort to make our ancestry open to all and yet not maintained specifically by me so that it is available when I am not! Looking forward to it!
