He was trained as a lawyer and was admitted to The inner Temple[5] in 1576.[1][6]

He married Frances Chichester, daughter of Amyas Chichester, Esq. and Jane (Joan) Giffard, before 19 October 1584 at Braunton, Devonshire, England; They had 2 sons (Philip; & Hugh) & 4 daughters (Anne, wife of Lewis Incledon; Joan; Margaret, wife of (Mr.) Matthew Allyn; Agnes).[1][4][7][8][3]
John Wyatt, Gent. was buried on 29 November 1598 at Braunton.[3]

I agree with Lucy (3mar 2018) Gent is not a suffix, merely an old fashioned form of snobbery. As in I have so much wealth/standing I dont have to work.
Can anybody clarify the Wyatt biological lines using a combination of DNA results and traditional research? The DNA clearly indicates multiple lines of genetic descent.

I show a birth date of Nov 27, 1538. He died in Braunton Dec 22, 1598. He married Francis Chichester, and had about 7 kids, 1 of whom is also my ancestor. His folks had about a dozen kids.
