This is for anyone interested. At the time I have terminal cancer, and am not expected to live much longer. So if you message me and get no answer... that's why. You can use this posting as evidence that I can be removed as profile manager.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Ron or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
Ron based on your tree on ancestry, willim b. 1744 had james b.1772 and james had Mary. This basically ended your Ydna line. You did not have any Crawford line after @1800.
Had you noticed that your changes were to the blood line R1a , which is an accepted Crawford line.
Please check the hap!ogroup of the line your changing. I do this by searching the names and finding persons in their tree. I found you to be R1b. If you search Samuel you will get 171 responses.
The AudlieWatts tree on ancestry has mistakes you should study, I could not follow the line at that point. Above Mary Crawford you jon the Crawford's line.
Please check and let me know what you find.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
