In the 1911 Census, Kate was 65 years old, husband Stephen was 85 years old and an ex-police officer and pensioner and granddaughter Muriel Nichols age 17 was with them in Mount Hawke, St Agnes, Cornwall.[2]
Kate died at the age of 70 and was buried December 23, 1916 at Plympton St Mary, Devon, England.[3]
