Biography

Jannetje Wyckoff died June 22. 1743. and is buried by her father in Schanck-Couwenhoven cemetery. Her husband married March 17. 1744, for his second wife Antje, daughter of Ex-Sheriff Daniel Hendrickson, and then the widow of his cousin William Jacobse Couwenhoven and had two children by her, viz: Cornelius, baptized April 7, 1746 and Catherine, baptized April 16, 1749. Wykhof is the surname that appears in church records for Jannetje, as a witness for Maria, the daughter of Aart van der Bilt and Jannetje Couwenhove. Jannetje's vital dates are given in the "The Van Kouwenhoven-Conover Family" article in the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, volume 81, page 225, but it does not appear that there are church records associated with those dates.
