In the 1881 census Alexander Wylie and his wife, Mary Ferguson Wylie were living on Rowand Street in Paisley, Scotland. They resided with Alexander's father, Robert Wylie, their daughter Agnes (age 3) and son Robert (age 0)[2].
Alexander Wylie and Jane Brown Thomson had a son, Robert Wylie b. 29 Mar 1881 in Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland [3].
In about 1895 they had another son, Alexander Wylie (Junior)[4].
