She was a Mill Worker in High Church, Lanarkshire in 1871.[1]
Wylie died around 1897 in Leith from a 'heart complaint.' She died when her daughter, Elizabeth, was still a 'little girl.' Elizabeth, aparently, was out buying brandy—which was reported to help her mother's heart condition—when her Wylie died. Wylie was dead before Elizabeth got back to the house.[7]
