Has it been verified that this Jan Wynantz 1585-1640, who was a Catholic Art Dealer, is indeed the father of this Jan Wynantz? The Dutch painter is thought to be the son of Jan Wynantz the Catholic Art Dealer-- however the date of birth and death of the Dutch painter is believed to be circa 1625/30 to January 1683/84. Here is what WIkipedia states: "Jan Jansz Wijnants (alternatively Wynants) (1632 – buried 23 January 1684) was a Dutch Golden Age painter. He was born in Haarlem, the son of a Catholic art dealer also named Jan Wijnants.[1] After his mother's death, his father remarried Maria Jans van Stralen, widow of Jasper Jaspersz van Heemskerck, and mother of the painter Egbert Jaspersz van Heemskerck, making Wijnants and Van Heemskerck stepbrothers.[1] Wijnants was active in Haarlem until 1660, after which he moved to Amsterdam.[1] He died in Amsterdam."

The above marriage to Mary Janse would match the wikipedia entry per Dutch naming rules of the period.
