Biography

William was born in 2 February 1922 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Willie Yancey. and Lydia Cenac. ^[1]

30 June 1942 William (Bill) registered for the draft. His discription was dark complextion, black hair and brown eyes.^[2]

William (Bill) married Collen Cary Dolan May 1952 in San Diego, California.^[3]They were divorced in March 1970, also in San Diego.^[4]

They had 4 chidlren who are still living in 1921

He died 4 January 2014 ^[5] He is bureid at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.^[6] He died of a blocked airway.

On 20 Janaury 2014 the Hartford Courant published an article about Dr. Yancey telling about his life, work, family and death. ^[7]
