Obituary

“ Marriages, Births and Deaths. Mary Yanke. Died At Des Moines. Oct 1, 1891, at 8 a.m. Mary, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yanke, of 623 West Second street, from a second paralytic stroke. Miss. Yanke had just convalesced from a long and severe attack of typhoid fever, and her friends expected she would be up an around in a few days, but just when she had conquered the dread disease, she received a second paralytic stroke last Saturday morning and passed peacefully away in five days. Miss Yanke was born April 8, 1856, in Buffalo, N.Y., and was in her 36 th year when she died. She had a paralytic stroke when she was 16 years old, from which she never fully recovered, but lived, not withstanding her infirmity, a most devoted Christian life, and loving and affectionate daughter, whose friends were without number and her parental devotion without a parallel.
