Married Sidney John Hyde, Jr. 17 Aug. 1949, by Rev. Homer Albert Yarborough in Calvary Baptist Church in Bogalusa, La.; children: -Hebe Shereen, Martha Lisa and Sydney Etta Yerborough. Glorie graduated from Borgalusa High in 1948; she was Glee Club soloist from 1946-1948; Won loving cup for good sportsmanship in 1949 in Paper Queen Contest sponsored by Magic City Post 24-American Legion and its Auxiliary of Bogalusa; won Vocal Music Scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana College; attended LSU majoring in Commercial Education; Sorority-Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega; occupation - bookkeeper for Auditing and Taxation Service; hobbies - sewing and flowers. While living in Prichard, Ala, she belonged to the Girls Ensemble End Choir of First Baptist Church; she and her husband are active members of Memorial Baptist Church of Bogalusa, she is Pres., of Homemakers Class; Counsellor of Girls Auxiliary; former choir member and church hostess; club reporter of Bogalusa Garden Guild; member of Bogalusa Camp Fire Association. Her husband works for Sears, Roebuck and Co. and they live in Bogalusa, LA ^[1]
