Frances Yarborough was a member of aristocracy in the British Isles.

Frances (b. c. 1615 - d. 1668 Beverley, co. York; bur. 07 Sep 1668 Thrybergh), dau. of Edmund Yarborough (or Yarburgh), esq. of Snaith Hall.[1][2][3]



According to Burke (1847), Frances Yarborough is the only daughter of Edmond Yarborough of Balne, co. York and Sarah Wormley.[4]


Reresby (1875), states that Frances had the following four (4) brothers:

m. Fayth "Faith" Dawney (d. 1657), dau. of John Dawney (b. c. 1593, age 19 in 1612 - dvp 1628; bur. 16 Mar 1629/30 Snaith, co. York).[6]

m.1 Ann (dsp 1682), dau. of Thomas Ellis of Nothill, co. Beds

According to her son Sir John Reresby, 2Bt. Frances had four sons and a daughter with James Moyser.[3] Hayton, Cruishanks & Handley (2002), explain that their fourth son John of Beverley, was the only son to survive.

After her first husband died, Frances moved to London. According to her son John Reresby, she was about age 34 at the time, while he was fifteen-years-old.[2]
