Wilma Adell Bradford was born February 13, 1916 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Tyro, Kansas in the 1930's where she graduated from the former Tyro High School.
On May 27, 1932 in Tyro, Kansas, she was united in marriage to D. Verner Bradford. The couple made their home in rural Tyro and Coffeyville where they farmed.
In 1956, the couple moved to Stigler, Oklahoma and later to Tula, Oklahoma where Mrs. Bradford was a manager of the book department at the Brown-Ducklin Store.
Mr. Bradford preceded his wife in death in 1982.
During World War II Mrs. Bradford was a volunteer nurse at the Coffeyville Air Base.She was a member of the Grace-Memorial United Methodist Church. She was active in the Stitch and Chatter Club, Lucky 13 Home Demonstration Unit.and the Rainbow Chorus that performed in Washington, D.C. in the 1950's. She was an active parent leader in the Busy Band 4-H Club and was active in several local Literary, Music and Garden Clubs.
Survivors include: a son, Jerry Bradford of Conroe, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Schuessler of Idaho Springs, Colorado.
