Born at Mercy Hospital to Eugene Calvin Yates and Josephine Rose (Miller/Muller) Yates. Eugene was the son of Frank Roy Yates and Flora May (Weast) Yates in Colusa CA. Josephine was the daughter of Charles Miller/Muller and Cecelia (Nagel) Miller/Muller of Glenn Ullin, North Dakota.
