Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add profiles to WikiTree. Also please add sources to each of your new profiles.Even if you're just a casual family historian recording family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from.

Yes....I will be able to help. I have a tree on Ancestry.com for 6 years. Been researching a very long time. Nathan Patrick Yates is my 2 Great Grandfather. Born 1835 in North Carolina. Married: Margaret Jane "Emily" McClain in Murray County, Georgia 1852. Moved to Shelby County, Texas. Died in Shelby County , Texas 1909.
