Sooki never knew who her mother was. She was born on the bank of the Turon River outside of Sofala NSW but was taken from her mother as a baby, possibly by the man she thinks was her father, but she was unsure if he was her father. Sooki was never allowed to call isabella 'mother', but she was made to call her 'foster mother'.[1]
