Biography

9 July 1823 Warsaw, Gallatin co. Ky. d. 22 Nov 1916 New Berlin, Sangamon co. Ill. Martha's brother was Richard Yates Sr., governor of Illinois during the Civil War; their grandfather Henry Yates laid out the first plat of the town of Berlin, Illinois in 1836.
